century since it's foundation here in Yokohama in 1955.
We have been grown up with improvement of our knowledge, technical innovation and advanced information systems.
Although, the one which never changed since we established is "We carry our customers' important cargoes
safely, certainly & quickly". This spirit will never change for the future.
Through the globalize of economy and changing the industrial structure, we recognize ourselves the demands for
international transporter should be higher and need to provide various services.
Under this circumstances, we Yokohama Shosen Unyu will keep challenging to provide best services with keeping
the sprit from the day of our establishment.

会社沿革

February 1955 Yokohama Shosen Unyu Co., Ltd was founded upon receiving transference of
the license of Customs Broking from Shosen Unyu Co.,Ltd Yokohama Branch.
Seven founders (Mitsuji Momota, Toshiyuki Kamiya, Toshio Maruyama, Takeo Saito & others)
President Mitsuji Momota. Capital: JP\3,000,000.
September 1958 Established Tokyo Office in Nihombashi Muromachi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
May 1959 Established Port Office in Harumi Pier, Chuo-ku, Tokyo and obtained the license of
Customs Broking which was authorized by Tokyo Customs.
July 1964 Obtained the license of Cargo Transportation by vehicles which was authorized by
Tokyo Transport Bureau.
September 1967 Enforcement of Customs Laws
November 1968 Renewed the license of Customs Broking which was authorized by Yokohama Customs.
October 1970 Renewed the license of Customs Broking which was authorized by Tokyo Customs.
February 1974 Renewed the license of Cargo Transportation by vehicles which as authorized by
Tokyo Transport Bureau.
February 1977 Renewed the license of Customs Broking which was authorized by Yokohama Customs.
September 1977 Yokohama Transportation Association was established and joined the member.
December 1979 Yokohama Transporation Association had built up the Transportation Center in
Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama and started to use as Land transportation Center.
June 1982 Renewed the license of Customs Broking which was authorized by Tokyo Customs.
January 1983 Moved to Ohi Ocean Cargo Warehouse No.3 as Ohi Office for customs broking and
warehousing.
November 1987 Takeo Saito inaugurated as President
March 1994 Capital gained to JP\10,000,000.
June 1994 Become a member of JIFFA (Japan International Freight Forwarders Association Inc.)
and started international consolidation transport.
February 1995 Celebration of 40th anniversary (at Yokohama Prince Hotel)
November 1995 Capital gained to JP\20,000,000.
July 1996 Capital gained to JP\33,500,000.
July 1997 Tokyo Office became Tokyo Branch Office and moved to Honcho, Nihombashi, Tokyo.
August 2002 The 1st Company Bond (Private Note with interest) issuance
November 2002 Shunsuke Saito inaugurated as President
August 2004 Opened "Tokyo Branch Office" in Minami Shinagawa (Cosolidated Tokyo Office & Ohi Office)
February 2005 Celebration of 50th anniversary (at Yokohama Royal Park Hotel)
October 2006 Head office moved to Chuo Dai-6 Kannai Bldg from Mitsui Bussan Bldg. (Current Head Office)
April 2009 Tokyo Branch Office moved to Ohi-Kaikauwaya No.3 (Current Tokyo Office)
April 2019 Head office moved to JPR-YOKOHAMANIHONODORI BLDG. 2F,
from Chuo Dai-6 Kannai BLDG. (Current Head Office)
