Ocean LCL shipment suddenly needed to switch into Air cargo due to customer's request and asked to our oversea agent to follow the request.
After the cargo arrived at Narita (Tokyo) airport and arranged customs clearance immediately to deliver the cargo to customer's place right after got approval from customs.
All the procedures were done in a very short and limited time and I was not sure whether I could done. But everything was smooth and could get appreciation from the customer was strongly in my memory.

Once I take my action to talk to our oversea agent, arrange transportation and delivery for our customers make myself uplift and remind me the importance of arrangement of transportation procedure.

Making import/export declaration documents which apply to clear the customs to Yokohama customs office, making documents which followed by other laws to apply to quarantine office, explanation of the cargoes to customs and checking the cargoes together with customs officers when the cargo is inspected.

For verification and confirmation of goods or origin country, I often go to Customs warehouse and I can find the facts what I can't see through docs or attached catalogs.
These are good experiences for me to understand more about the cargoes.

Sometimes, declaration procedure won't go smooth and get the approval from customs with various efforts make me very happy.

Since I joined YSU after passed national examination of Registered Customs Specialist, I've been working for customs clearance.
Lately, I strongly feel this job needs more knowledges & experiences.
I can see wide variety of cargoes and documents. Some goods are well known the names but not familier about the functions or even don't know the names.
Some cargoes need special procedure to clear the customs because of necessity to follow Fixed Rate Method for Tax Reduction and exemption.
When I face to these cargoes, I feel that I need more learning & experiences.
It'll be very smooth to declare to the customs and get approvals quickly if customs specialist has various knowledge about many kinds of cargoes or deeply understands about other laws (other than Customs Laws), Fixed Rate Method and the Regulations of Trade Control.
I believe it's very important for both of our customers and myself to learn more with more experiences. Fortunately, our customs clearance department can handle both of import and export declaration and has no dividing import or export section.
It's good for me that I can challenge various cargoes and I would like to be "professional customs specialist" that I can handle any cases by myself.
